When Afrojack electrified Delhi!

Date:

Delhi: It was not just a usual Friday, it was Sunburn 2015 and Delhi’s enthusiasm for Electronic Dance Music (EDM) hit the roof when Dutch DJ Afrojack dropped some killer beats at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium here on Friday.

The Grammy award-winning artist brought together thousands of EDM lovers and fans of the Dutch DJ were treated to a night of audio-visual wizardry and a power-packed performance. The larger-than-life stage along with the thrilling music kept everyone on their toes and left them wanting more.

The crowd grooved to the global heavyweight and his troupe as they played some of the chart toppers like ‘Turn up the speakers’, ‘We can be heroes’ ‘Lean on’, ‘Ten Feet Tall’ and a few more.

“Thank you Delhi. This night was insane!!!!” said Afrojack after the event.

“I came all the way from Bengaluru for this festival. It was a heavyweight performance,” said an EDM lover, adding: “It is yet to sink in.”

“It was a power-packed performance. We came all the way from Mumbai just to see him again. It was a killer night,” Rahul, who came with his friends, said.

Earlier in the evening, the event was put on hold for an hour due to mismanagement.

“Event has been put on hold for a while because of mismanagement of the organizers,” a senior police official told NewsMobile.

NewsMobile sources said that parking permission for both sides of the road was not sought beforehand by the organizers.

Afrojack is on a five-city India tour for two weekends of madness in India. He has already performed in Pune (Nov 28), Mumbai (Nov 29), Delhi (Dec 4) and is scheduled to play in Chennai on Friday and Kolkata on Sunday.
