On Tuesday night, Bhawana had gone to tuition without doing her homework . Enraged over it, Latha grabbed a leather belt and beat Bhawana. The incident came to light when the child ran to her house and narrated the incident to her parents . The parents noticed bruises all over Bhavana’s body.

“The teacher was known for beating the children who used to come for private tuitions. This was not for the first time a complaint was raised. During investigation, the police learnt that earlier too, Latha had beaten many students who were weak in studies but the parents used to blame their own children thinking that the teacher was doing right so that their wards will study meticulously,” said an investigating official.
