Four killed as car collides with tempo

Thane, Aug 17 (PTI) Four persons, including a woman,were killed when their car collided with a tempo in thedistrict, police said today. The accident took place at around 9.30 PM yesterday onBhiwandi-Nashik road at Diva village in Thane district. The car driver lost control over the wheels, as aresult the vehicle hit the road divider, broke it and came onthe other side where it collided with a tempo. The vehicle was on way to Thane from Nashik. The caroccupants were from Bhandup in Mumbai. The deceased have been identified as – Vasant Kedar,Sachin Kedar, Amit Kedar and Sunita Kedar. Their relatives have been informed, police said, addingthat the bodies have been sent for postmortem to governmenthospital. The Narpoli police registered a case under relevant IPCsections, including 304A (causing death by negligence) and279 (rash driving or riding on a public way), police added.PTI CORR GKDVJMF
