Over Rs 11 lakh unaccounted money seized, two held

Wayanad (Ker), Aug 17 (PTI) Two persons were todayarrested and unaccounted cash of Rs 11.69 lakh seized fromthem at a check post in Muthanga forest range here. During a vehicle check this morning, excise departmentofficials seized Rs 8.69 from Sandesh Bhima Rao (18) ofMaharastra and one Afzal (25) of Andhra Pradesh, who came by aBangalore-Kozhikode bus, Excise Preventive Officer Babu said. The duo who could not produce proper documentspertaining to the money, in the denomination of Rs 1000 and Rs500, were arrested, he added. PTI KV ROHBN
