Small sugar recovers on renewed demand

Mumbai, Aug 17 (PTI) Small sugar prices recovered atthe Vashi wholesale market here today on renewed demand fromstockists and bulk consumers. While, medium sugar slipped further due to subdueddemand from retailers. Small sugar (S-30) gains by Rs 8 per quintal to Rs3,670/3,771 from Tuesday’s level of Rs 3,662/3,771. However, medium sugar (M-30) edged down by Rs 4 perquintal to Rs 3,736/3,882 as compared to Rs 3,736/3,886yesterday. Following are today’s closing rates for sugar (perquintal) with the previous rates given in brackets: Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,670/3,771 (Rs3,662/3,771).
