IAS officer to bear medical cost of girl with disfigured nose

Thane (Maha), Aug 19 (PTI) A 6-year-old girl with adisfigured nose found a saviour in Thane civic chief SanjeevJaiswal, who today announced to bear the medical expenses fortreating the girl. Jaiswal, an IAS officer, spotted Aahana with adisfigured nose who was sitting among other kids at aprogramme organised by the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC). Aahana is a first standard student of the civic schoolnumber 54 at Manpada. Jaiswal was disturbed seeing Aahana. He went to thegirl and enquired about her disfigured nose, a TMC releasesaid. The Commissioner learnt that a rat had bit off thegirl’s nose while she was asleep in her house, leaving itdisfigured. The girl’s parents were unable to afford her medicaltreatment. Jaiswal announced that he will bear all the medicalexpenses in his personal capacity for the plastic surgery, itsaid.
