HP: Cong, BJP to chalk out strategy for Assembly session

Shimla, Aug 20 (PTI) Congress and BJP legislature partieswill hold separate meetings here tomorrow to chalk out theirfloor strategies for the monsoon session of Himachal PradeshAssembly which begins on August 22. The six-day session will have five sittings. The government is likely to ratify the ConstitutionAmendment Bill on GST during the session, besides introducingthe Town and Country Planning (Amendment) Bill which seeks toregularise unauthorised structures on "as is, where is" basis. The session is likely to be stormy as BJP has alreadyannounced that it would raise issues like activities ofvarious mafias, deteriorating law and order situation andfailure of governance. Parliament Affairs Minister Mukesh Agnihotri has appealedto the opposition for cooperation for a smooth session andsaid the government was prepared discuss all the issues. PTIPCLSMN
