CRPF jawan injured in pressure bomb blast

Raipur, Aug 21 (PTI) A Central Reserve Police Force(CRPF) jawan was today injured in a pressure bomb blast laidby Naxals in Chhattisgarh’s worst insurgency-hit Sukmadistrict, police said. The incident took place at around 8 AM near ErraborPolice Station while security forces were heading for securityduty at the weekly market of Errabor village, SukmaSuperintendent of Police Indira Kalyan Elesela told PTI. "Head Constable Dilip Kumar Boro belonging to CRPF’s212th battalion sustained injuries in the explosion," headded. Security forces were tasked to ensure security to theweekly market, located just about 200 meters away from theErrabor police station which lies at 500 kms away from here. On the way, the jawan inadvertently stepped overa pressure improvised explosive device (IED) triggering blastinjuring him on his leg, the SP said. Soon after getting information of the incident,reinforcement was rushed to the spot and the injured weretaken to a local hospital, he added. PTI TKP DKDVSRE
