Edible oils gain in lackluster trade

Mumbai, Aug 23 (PTI) Groundnut oil prices regained in anotherwise lackluster Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale markethere today due to fresh demand from stockists and retailers. Elsewhere, refined palmolein also firmed up owing to goodofftake from retailers. Meanwhile, castorseed bold, castoroil commercial andlinseed oil held stable in absence of any large-scale buyingactivity. In the edible section, groundnut oil rose by Rs 10 per10kg to Rs 1,460 from Monday’s closing level of Rs 1,450 andrefined palmolein also moved up by Rs 3 per 10kg to Rs 615 ascompared to Rs 612 yesterday. Moving to the non-edible segment, castorseeds bold,castoroil commercial and linseed oil closed unchanged at Rs3,650 per 100 kg, Rs 760 per 10 kg and Rs 1,125 per 10 kg,respectively. PTI BPDABI
