Free health check-up camp in flood-hit Majuli

Guwahati, Aug 24 (PTI) A two-day free health check upcamp was conducted by Vivekananda Kendra NRL Hospital in theflood affected areas of Majuli recently, an NRL press releasesaid here today. The camp, conducted in association with VivekanandaKendra Vidyalaya, Majuli, treated 600 patients and freemedicines were also distributed in two remote villages, BhakatChapori and Pahumara in the river island. The medical team comprised Dr Diganta Konwar, DrDwijendra Milli, Dr Dharma Kanta Hira, staff nurses, helpersfrom Vivekananda Kendra NRL Hospital, Karyakartas fromVivekananda Kendra along with two doctors from Majuligovernment hospital, the release added.
