Woman shot dead on resisting robbery bid

Ghaziabad, Aug 24 (PTI) A woman was today shot deadallegedly by four robbers after she resisted their loot bid ather house in Naveen Kunj colony here, police said. Nishara was alone at her house this morning when fourrobbers entered her house overpowered her and started lootingthe house, Deputy Superintendent of Police Anil Yadav said,adding when she opposed their robbery bid, they shot her. Around 9.30 AM, Salman, her husband’s relative, reachedthe house and found Nishara lying in pool of blood. On receiving information, police reached there and rushedher to GTB Hospital in Delhi where the doctors declared herbrought dead, he said. Police is probing all the angles of the case, the DSPsaid, adding the body has been sent for postmortem. PTI CORRDIP SMJDIP
