Select copra slips on mute trade

Mumbai, Aug 25 (PTI) Copra office Alapuzha and copraoffice kozhikode prices slipped in an otherwise mute spicesmarket here today due to subdued offtake from stockists andexporters. Meanwhile, rest of the spices market closed today onaccount of "Janmashtami". Copra office Alapuzha and copra office kozhikodedeclined by Rs 100 per quintal each to Rs 6,500 and Rs 6,400from Wednesday’s closing level of Rs 6,600 and Rs 6,500,respectively. Following are today’s closing rates (in Rs withprevious rates in brackets): Black pepper (per kg) closed.
