Minor raped by juvenile neighbour

New Delhi, Aug 28 (PTI) A 12-year-old girl was rapedallegedly by her juvenile neighbour at his friend’s house inRanhola area of west Delhi, following which the accused hasbeen detained today, police said. In her statement before the magistrate, the girl, astudent of class V, alleged that on Wednesday the accused tookher to his friend’s house on some pretext and raped her whilehis friend stood guard outside the room, a senior policeofficer said. She told her parents about the incident yesterday. Shealso alleged that the accused had threatened her of direconsequences if she told anybody about it, the officer said,adding medical examination has confirmed rape. The girl’s father who works as a ground staff in DelhiMetro told police that the accused was not known to herdaughter and they were clueless how he could have taken her tohis friend’s place. A case under relevant sections of IPC and Protection OfChildren from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act has been lodged andefforts are on to nab the accused’s friend, police said. PTIVIT HMP NSD RGNSD
