AIADMK seeks dismissal of Puducherry government

Puducherry, Aug 29 (PTI) Opposition AIADMK today urgedLt Governor Kiran Bedi to recommend to the President dismissalof the Congress government here, in the wake of charges thatcontents of the budget had already been highlighted in themedia and the official website ahead of its presentationtoday. AIADMK legislature wing leader A Anbalagan toldreporters here that the party presented a memorandum to Bedi,urging her to recommend to the President the dismissal of thegovernment for "violation of oath of secrecy" by PuducherryChief Minister V Narayanasamy. Anbalagan said newspapers today had details of departmentwise allocation of funds for the 2016-17 fiscal, which wasavailable in the government website before its presentation. "When the media had carried the details, where is thepropriety for Chief Minister to present the budget?" he asked,adding tradition and convention of the Assembly had beenviolated. "It is a serious issue", he alleged. AIADMK had earlier staged a walk out in the Assemblyduring presentation of the budget after a noisy protestagainst "leak of budgetary provisions in the media".PTI COR RC SRYKK
