New Delhi, Aug 29 (PTI) Veteran actor Victor Banerjee, whohas acted in several Hindi films, believes Bollywood is akinto "cancer" and tries to kill creativity. Known for his roles in films like "A Passage to India","Kalyug", "Joggers’ Park" and "My Brother… Nikhil", the69-year-old actor says Bollywood is nonsensical and has harmedthe social and moral values in the society. "Bollywood is the cancer that has destroyed the country.Whether it is our moral values or social values, everythinghas been degenerated thanks to the way it is shown in ourfilms. They will justify for sure but it is nonsensical andthey are doing it even today," Banerjee said in a groupinterview here. "I don’t even care about Hindi films. You can’t kill artin India as much as Bollywood tries to. We have a history ofart and culture and we should preserve that." Banerjee, who was last seen on the big screen in recentlyreleased Rajeev Khandelwal-starrer "Fever", said he is happyto be away from the movies. Talking about the "value system" of Bollywood, he made ascathing remark against superstar Salman Khan, saying,"Everyone is aware of what he has done. He is getting awayscot-free.
