Gang of cheats busted, 4 held

New Delhi, Aug 29 (PTI) With the arrest of four persons,Delhi Police today claimed to have busted a gang of cheatsactive in Delhi-NCR. Police said that the arrested have been identified asSubrat Sahu (26), Koshal Singh (21), Anil Nayak (22) and NitinRathora, all residents of Faridabad in Haryana. South-East District Police, which arrested the accused,said that all the accused persons mainly Subrat and KoshalSingh allegedly conspired and planned to cheat and dupe poorpeople by promising to send them abroad (Dubai) for work. All the accused were arrested from Faridabad. "They assured them a job in Dubai and took Rs35,000/45,000 each. The bank statement of the account has alsobeen obtained and it was found that total amount of Rs7,92,000 was deposited in this account and Rs 7,91,000 waswithdrawn by the accused persons," a senior police officialsaid. The official said that the complainant alleged that hehad given Rs 49,000 to accused’s firm situated in Kalkaji areafor going to Dubai. The complainant, a resident of Khushi Nagar, came toDelhi on August 20 and found that the office was closed. Hecontacted Abhishek on phone. Abhishek said that there is someproblem in Chennai Office so his ticket has been cancelled. During investigation, the accused namely Koshal Singh wasarrested on August 23. He confessed to his crime and said thathe along with Abhishek, Rahul and Suraj had conspired andplanned to cheat people by opening an office in Kalkaji andtook money from them. PTI BUNIKA
