Girls beat up eve-teaser in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Aug 29 (PTI) A person was beaten up and madeto kneel down by some girls after he allegedly passed lewdcomments against a female MBA student of Utkal University inVani Vihar campus here, police said today. Last evening, when the girl was going from the bus stopto the ladies hostel in the university campus, Binod KumarSahoo, a private tutor, allegedly passed lewd comments againsther, they said. "I called up my friends who immediately arrived. ThoughSahoo had left the place, we searched for him in the campusand he was spotted near VSS Nagar gate," the girl said. They beat up Sahoo with bamboo sticks and made him kneeldown before handing him over to police, an officer said. The accused was arrested today, police said. PTI AAM PRNSD
