LED bulbs to replace bouquet of flowers    

Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 30 (PTI) In an effort towardspower conservation, guests at government functions, organisedby the electricity department, will be welcomed with LEDbulbs rather than bouquet of flowers. "In the electricity department, in all public programmes,the guests would be welcomed with a LED bulbs rather thanbouquet of flowers," Power Minister Kadakampally Surendrantoday said. "Such a step should be seen as government’s effortstowards power conservation," the minister said in a Facebookpost today. He urged all employees to cooperate to ensure the successof the environment friendly decision. PTI UD BNASVNTR
