Banned militant outfit NSCN–K has meanwhile claimedresponsibility for the snatching of arms and ammunition fromthe Manipur Rifles yesterday. A statement by the outfit, which abrogated the ceasefireagreement with the government, said the arms were snatched byits Elite Strike unit and the arms, including four assaultrifles with ammunition were looted by them.
