28 consolidation deals done in eight months in Startups

Date:

Startup sounds very interesting, but it takes a lot of grit and strength to run them. The passion with which you start needs to be maintained for them to succeed.

Many in the past 4 months closed down, as they could not survive the market. According to a report, there were 28 Merger & Acquisition deals in the first eight months this year vis-a-vis 32 in the whole of last year.

The reasons for closure have been lack of funding and capital, sub-optimal businesses, fallen valuations, inability to acquire customers, too many companies in the same space leading to high competition, lack of technological capabilities and unavailability of right people at the right position in the right time.
