Delhi govt calls one-day special Assembly session on Sept 9

New Delhi, Sep 1 (PTI) The AAP government has called aone-day special session of Delhi Assembly on September 9 overa number of issues concerning the national capital. The decision was taken today at a Cabinet meeting chairedby Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. "The Cabinet has decided to convene a one-day SpecialSession of Delhi Assembly on September 9 to discuss a range ofissues including governance in the national capital," a seniorgovernment official said. Last month, the Kejriwal-led government had also called afour-day session during which the Assembly ratified Goods andService Tax (GST) Constitution Amendment Bill, becoming thethird non-BJP-ruled state to do so. The House had also passed Luxury Tax Amendment Bill underwhich there will be no tax on hotel room rent up to Rs 1,500.PTI BUN NSD RGNSD
