Haryana FM dismisses Cong leader’s charge on mining issue

Chandigarh, Sep 1 (PTI) Haryana Finance Minister AbhimanyuSingh Sindhu today dismissed as "false, baseless andmischievous" allegations levelled by Congress MLA Karan SinghDalal on lack of transparency in dealing with complaints andthe court cases against two of the three allotees of stonemines in Bhiwani district which were auctioned in 2013. "The reason behind such false, baseless and mischievousallegations is the Congress party’s frustration stemming fromits defeat in the last assembly polls, their shrinking baseand the resultant nervousness which is palpable in the wake ofthe submission of the Justice Dhingra Commission report," hesaid here. Sindhu described the allegations, levelled by Dalalearlier in the day, as a "ridiculous attempt to divert publicattention in his characteristic shoot-and-scoot style inretaliation to the privilege motion admitted against him bythe Assembly recently". "He has simply tried to divert the attention of the peoplefrom the cases being faced by Congress leaders. This has beeninspired by vested interests and political vendetta," healleged. Dalal had alleged lack of transparency in dealing withcomplaints and the court cases against two of the threeallottees of stone mines in Bhiwani district which wereauctioned three years ago. The Congress MLA had also said he would submit amemorandum to the Governor seeking a CBI probe into the"mining scam" in Haryana. Also, reacting to allegations levelled by Dalal earlier inthe day regarding HSIIDC "trying to delay" the operations atKhanak stone mine, an official release, quoting an HSIIDCspokesperson, said, "M/s KIOCL – Rungta projects ltd, the L1bidder, had unilaterally conveyed its non-acceptance of theletter of award on 15.06.2016, which was made in line with thecourt orders and HSIIDC did not raise any technical grounds.HSIIDC has even invoked their bank guarantee on 23.06.2016."PTI SUN PL RC ZMNRC
