New train from Jhansi to Etawah flagged off

New Delhi, Sept 1 (PTI) Fulfilling a long standingdemand, railways today launched a new train service fromJhansi to Etawah and Indore. There was a requirement for the train from Jhansi toEtawah and Indore and it was fulfilled today as promised,Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu said after launching the trainthrough video-conferencing from here. Union Water Resources Minister Uma Bharati who was alsopresent on the occasion, thanked Prabhu for fulfilling thelong-pending demand of people of Jhansi by introducing newtrain service between Jhansi to Indore and Etawah. Now Railways is keenly focussing on all neglectedareas/sectors of the country and making the railway userfriendly, she said. The Jhansi-Gwalior-Indore Express will be operationalfour days in a week while the Jhansi-Etawah link express willbe pressed into service for six days in a week. PTI ARURG
