Investments in state indicate SP to again form govt

Lucknow, Sep 2 (PTI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister AkhileshYadav today claimed increase in investments in the statebefore the Assembly elections indicates that Samajwadi partywas all set to form the government in the state. "Traders are the first to know which party is coming topower…Vidhan Sabha elections are just a few months ago, butinvestments are coming to the state in a big way and thisshows their (traders’) confidence that SP government is comingback to power," he said while addressing a programme tofelicitate the officials involved in ambitious "Agra-Lucknowexpressway project. "No government has returned to power in the state in thepast over three decades but this time the situation isdifferent…The situation here is like that of 2012 when SPhad formed full majority government," he claimed. Praising the officials for contributing in realising theexpressway in "record 22 months time", Akhilesh said this hasproved that basic government schemes can also be completedwithin the stipulated time through team work. Meanwhile, the Chief Minister also honoured shooter JituRai, who participated in Rio Olympics, with a cheque of Rs 10lakh and a memento, and hoped that he will "bring medals forthe country in future competitions".
