Journos file complaint against AAP MP Bhagwant Mann

Fatehgarh Sahib (Pun), Sep 2 (PTI) Media persons todayfiled a complaint against AAP MP Bhagwant Mann who along withhis supporters allegedly misbehaved with them at a politicalrally in Bassi Pathana here. After receiving a complaint, Fatehgarh Sahib SSP markedthe inquiry to Bassi Pathana DSP with the directions to submitthe report at the earliest. Media persons told the SSP that Mann had arrived fourhours late in yesterday’s rally and was disappointed afterfinding a "thin gathering" awaiting him. Mann instigated AAP volunteers against media personspresent there who manhandled them and even damaged camera ofone journalist, the complaint read. Mann even used word "paid media" which hurt the feeling of journalists, it said. Zila Patarkar Union, Fatehgarh Sahib president RanbirKumar Jajji threatened to launch an agitation if the case wasnot registered against Mann by September 3. He said he waseven ready to sit on a hunger strike. Meanwhile, Congress activists burnt an effigy of Mann atBassi Pathana. Targeting the print media, Mann had asked volunteers notto read newspapers, alleging influence of money in publicationof news. Mann felt enraged when media persons asked him why he wasfour hours late for the party’s rally, it said. He shot back and said, "we don’t need any mediareporting of AAP’s functions," it added.
