Maha Guv C Vidyasagar Rao sworn in as Acting Governor of TN

Chennai, Sep 2 (PTI) Maharashtra Governor ChennamaneniVidyasagar Rao was today sworn-in as the Acting Governor ofTamil Nadu at a ceremony held in Raj Bhavan here. Chief Justice of Madras High Court S K Kaul administeredthe oath of office to Rao. Chief Minister Jayalalithaa attended the swearing-inceremony. Family members of Rao including his wife Ch Vinodawere also present. Lok Sabha Deputy Speaker M Thambidurai, Tamil NaduAssembly Speaker P Dhanapal, state cabinet ministers, BJPstate chief Tamizhisai Sounderrajan and senior party leader LaGanesan were among those who attended the swearing-inceremony. Earlier in the day, Rao was received at the airport byJayalalithaa and others upon his arrival. He has been given the additional charge of Tamil Nadu asthe tenure of K Rosaiah as the Governor ended on August 30.PTI SA BNNSD
