Protest violence:students suffer minor injuries in lathicharge

Mangaluru, Sep 10 (PTI) Some students owing allegiance toCampus Front of India suffered minor injuries today whenpolice lathicharged them after they turned violent whilegheraoing a rural police station, protesting against arrest ofa college student in connection with a ragging incident. Amin Rishad, a student of Srinivas College was arrestedyesterday in connection with a ragging incident last month. Acase had been registered at Mangaluru rural police station. Police said they had to use force as the agitators turnedviolent, inflicting minor injuries on a few of theirpersonnel. Some students also suffered minor injuries. PTI MVG APRRCJMVV
