Kerala ask banks to ensure availability of cash in ATMs

Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 11 (PTI) Kerala government hasasked the State Level Bankers Committee to ensure availabilityof currency stock at respective ATMs in the wake of fivecontinuous bank holidays in the state. State has intervened in the matter through the committeeand instructions have been given to controlling officers ofall banks to refill the ATMs if they ran out of cash, anofficial release said. Meanwhile, banking sources said they would conduct checksin ATMs and take necessary steps to refill the currency.
