‘Linking TN & Karna rivers only solution to water dispute’

Ariyalur (TN), Sept 11 (PTI) Amidst dispute over Cauveryriver water, BJP leader from Tamil Nadu L Ganesan todaysuggested linking of rivers between his state and Karnatakaas the only solution to such problems. "Linking of rivers is the only solution to the riverwater dispute between Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. The centralgovernment had allocated funds for the same," he toldreporters here. Dismissing charges that the Centre was doing nothingto resolve the Cauvery river water dispute, he said thecentral government maintains cordial relations with allstates. As such, it was paying attention to Tamil Nadu’s needs,he said. To a question, he said the BJP planned to go it alone inOctober 24 local body elections in Tamil Nadu. PTI SSN APRKISMVV
