Kanpur, Sep 14 (PTI) The foundation-laying ceremony of Kanpur Metro project is likely to be held on October 4 in the presence of Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and BJP MP Murli Manohar Joshi, officials said today. “The foundation-laying ceremony of Kanpur Metro is likely to be held on October 4 in the presence of Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav who will also inaugurate other projects in the city,” DM Kaushal Raj said. The DM said certain information pertaining to the project, as sought by the Chief Minister’s Office, has already been conveyed. Officials said Joshi, who represents the Kanpur constituency, has already spoken about the event to the chief minister.
