Digvijay attacks T’gana CM; accuses him of graft

Hyderabad, Sep 20 (PTI) AICC general secretary DigvijaySingh today alleged that Telangana Chief Minister KChandrashekar Rao was indulging in corruption while ignoringthe poor in the state. Addressing the concluding session of the two-daytraining programme for Congress sarpanchs and deputy sarpanchshere, Singh accused the Chief Minister of "luring andintimidating" the elected representatives of oppositionparties to join the ruling party. "KCR is good at planning corruption, but not welfareschemes for the poor…KCR family is buying the MLAs and otherelected representatives as vegetables. This is an insult toall elected representatives," Singh said. "KCR is accumulating huge illegal wealth with a planto buy votes in next elections. However, the Chief Ministermust realise that voters of Telangana are not for sale," hesaid. The Congress leader also slammed the TRS governmentfor "not fulfilling" promises like providing three acres ofland to each Dalit family and double bed room houses for poor. "KCR is busy feeding his own family," he alleged. Singh said both KCR and Prime Minister Narendra Modiwere spreading falsehood against previous Congress Governmentby openly denying the facts.
