Man mauled to death by bear

\ Shimla, October 26(PTI) A 31-year-old man was killed in a\bear attack at Keshan village of Kullu district while he was\working in the fields.\ The man, identified as Jit, died on the spot, police\said.\ About a dozen people were working on the field where the\work was in progress for repairing the irrigation channel and\they raised an alarm after which the bear ran into the woods\but the man died on the spot.\ The police reached the spot in Ani sub-division and sent\the body for post mortem.\ The villagers demanded compensation from the government\and express their anger over failure of the forest staff to\trap the bear which had created terror in the area.\ The said that the bear was attacking the animals,\particularly close to sunrise and sunset but this was first\case of fatal attack on human being.PTI PCL\RCJ\
