What would you do if you had an expensive meal at a restaurant, and while paying for it your credit card simply declines the transection? Surely you will try to contact the bank and try to get hold of the issue. But this woman instead jumped and fell 140 feet to her death from a Manhattan hotel rooftop bar after leaving a note with her family’s contact details with employees.
Accordig to a report, Marodelle Prin, 33, jumped from a ledge in the Bookmarks Lounge at the Library Hotel in Midtown shortly after midnight.
She ate and had two drinks but her card was declined when she tried to pay for her meal, a report said.
The woman, who is Filipino, wrote the names of two relatives to contact following her death on a piece of paper.
Prin’s family had been notified of her death.
The spokesman said she was intoxicated when she used a chair to climb onto the ledge on the 14th floor of the building.
Bar staff called authorities and desperately tried to convince her to not to jump.
As police arrived at the small boutique hotel, at Madison Avenue at East 41st Street, she jumped and fell 140 feet.

The woman, of Queens, New York, was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
In a statement to Daily Mail Online, a spokesman for the Library Hotel Collection said: ‘We are deeply saddened by the tragic incident that took place at our hotel last night.
