Demonetisation: This move will turn out to be a big scam, says Rahul Gandhi

Date:

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi terming his demonetisation move as a ‘knee-jerk’ decision. Speaking to the media on Tuesday, the Congress vice-president said this move will turn out to be a big scam. “Decision that was taken was not thought through, it was based on one person’s thinking. The big black money players have been allowed to go scot free by PM. Mallaya and Lalit Modi are sitting abroad,” he said.

“Couple of days back, PM was laughing in his speech, then next day he was crying. He should decide what he wants to do,” added Rahul Gandhi. He further said that the decision has resulted in massive inconvenience for the people and it needs to be sorted out as soon as possible. “18 to 20 people died in queues outside banks/ATMs and PM Narendra Modi was laughing. Do you see any black money players in bank lines; its only farmers, govt servants & common man. I am seeing on social media that BJP leaders are holding cash stacks in their hand, where did they get this money from?” he asked.
