AIADMK leaders attack Sasikala’s lawyers

The commotion outside the AIADMK’s office in Chennai took place on Wednesday after a meeting was called to decide the successor for late former Tamil Nadu chief minister Jayalalithaa when MP Sasikala Pushpa‘s lawyers were attacked by the party cadres.

According to the reports, four lawyers were attacked when they came outside after the meeting. The meeting turned violent after which the police came in between and used force to eliminate the supporters who were seen physically manhandling the lawyers.

Sasikala was expelled from the party after an argument with the DMK MP Tiruchi Siva at the Delhi airport earlier in July. After Jayalalitha’s death, Sasikala seeking the investigation by an apex court judge into the matter.

In the petition, she alleged that Jayalalitha’s death was suspicious as her actual condition was not disclosed and no one was allowed to visit her. Reacting to the development, party spokesperson C R Saraswathi said that Pushpa is no more with AIADMK and has no right to be there.
