Mahindra Electric unveils e2oPlus car!

Date:

Mahindra Electric introduced a new car, an electric car, the e2oPlus, at ₹7.70 lakh ex-showroom in Chennai.

The biggest challenge for the company Mahindra Electric was to sell the idea of an electric car in a country like India.  Making people understand the need for “sustainable mobility” was indeed very important, he said.

Mr. Babu underscored the need for developing an ecosystem with adequate infrastructure to encourage users to go in for electric cars in the evolving environment.

The company had increased its production capacity to 5,000 vehicles a year.

Mr. Babu said Mahindra Electric would like to make its cars available globally. Nevertheless, he felt that meeting the aspirations of the Indian customers would itself keep it fully engaged at the moment.

Mahindra Electric is working on assorted fronts to make its electric car an acceptable and affordable proposition for Indian customers, the chief executive officer said.
