Date:

The Supreme Court on Thursday defers the hearing on the Babri Masjid-Ram Mandir dispute case after BJP leader L K Advani’s counsel expressed his inability to argue as he was busy in another case.

The Supreme Court was examining whether to revive the conspiracy charges against senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders Lal Krishna Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Uma Bharti, Kalyan Singh and others in the Babri Masjid demolition case. The court will also hear the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI)’s plea against Allahabad High Court’s order dropping criminal conspiracy charges against the BJP leaders in the case.
