This Army Major speaks of soldiers human rights and he has a point

Date:

Major Surinder Poonia, a Special Forces veteran and UN Peace Keeper has lashed out at the intellectuals, Human Rights activists, journalists and politicians like Omar Abdullah for not standing up for the Army after the video showing Kashmiri locals mistreating the Army Jawans, surfaced on the social media.

He began by stating that several intellectuals, Human Rights activists, journalists and politicians like Omar Abdullah have cited their problems with the video showing mistreatment of Kashmiri stone pelter youth by the Army, but they have nothing to say when Army Jawans were being insulted by several Kashmiri locals.

He congratulated the Army Jawans in the video for their presence of mind and patience they showcased while protecting the EVM machines. He asked the so called intellectuals that why they never raised questions about the human rights of the Armymen, their widows and their orphans.

He goes on painfully to question why anti-national forces are being promoted by the politicians. Why is it that terrorists like Burhan Wani are being portrayed as martyrs, he added. In his heartfelt address, he stated that the country provides for these people in every situation and it is unacceptable that such people betray the nation for their personal and political gains.

Poonia went on to question such intellectuals that who is the Army fighting for? Do the Army has a personal vendetta against the people of Pakistan? or to the likes of Gilani? No, the Army fights for the well being of 130 Crore population of India, he added.

Poonia ended his video by saying that he is in pain because of such heinous and shameful acts of certain individuals.
