Kashmir lynching: Three more arrested, SIT constituted

Date:

Police have arrested three more persons in the mob lynching case of Deputy Superintendent of Police, Mohammed Ayub Pandith, two days back. A total of five arrests have been made so far.

In order to enhance the investigation procedure, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been constituted to look into the case.

Pandith was lynched near Jamia Masjid in Nowhatta, Srinagar two days back after he allegedly opened fire on a group of people who objected to him clicking pictures near the mosque. Three people were injured in the pistol firing.
