PM Narendra Modi to open World Sustainable Development Summit 2018 today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as per reports, will be inaugurating the World Sustainable Development Summit 2018 (WSDS 2018) at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi on Friday.

The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) has organised the summit, which will be attended by Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Dr Harsh Vardhan; Minister for Industries and Commerce Suresh Prabhu; Minister of State (Independent Charge) Housing and Urban Affairs, Hardeep Puri; Minister of State for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha and other leaders.

During the summit, the major issues such as land degradation, waste management and possible measures to deal with air pollution, likely to be discussed.

The WSDS 2018 is a platform for global business leaders to discuss on issues related to sustainable development and climate change.
