April Fool’s Day..its beginning


April Fool’s Day or sometimes also called All Fool’s Day is celebrated on 1st April every year around the world. This day is an annual celebration in western and European countries. This day is celebrated by playing pranks and practical jokes on people.
Many newspapers, magazines, and other mediums spread the fake news on this day to make people fool. Later they reveal the reality of this story. This April fool’s day is famous since the 19th century.

The earliest evidence of April fool’s day celebration dates back to 19th century. The instance goes like this in Geoffrey Chaucer’s The Canterbury tales where New Year was celebrated around April. The Gregorian calendar was introduced by Pope Gregory XIII which made to celebrate January 1 as New Year day. So many refused to accept this change and continued to celebrate New Year in April. Others starting making fun of them and called them ‘Fool’s Errands’, this is the way the practice of April Fool celebration came into being.
