FIFA World Cup 2018 begins: Opening ceremony LIVE updates

The big day is finally here as after the wait of four years the FIFA World Cup 218 is here.

Here are the LIVE Updates of the Opening Ceremony:

Here’s all you need to know about the FIFA World Cup 2018

The world is high on football fever as the FIFA World Cup 2018 is all set to kick off.

The 2018 edition of the World Cup will be the 21st overall and comes at a time where the traditional footballing powers appear to be pulling further and further away from the rest. Germany are the defending champions and will attempt to complete the decimation of Brazil they began in their historic 7-1 semifinal win in 2014 edition by drawing level with the South American giants who have won five World Cups overall.

Europe’s challenge has been dented somewhat, however, as Italy and the Netherlands, who has four World Cups (all Italy’s) and generations worth of memories at the biggest stage between them, has failed to qualify. From the Americas too, Chile, the double-defending Copa America champions, haven’t made it to Russia.
