FIFA World Cup 2018: Croatia beat Denmark on penalties

Croatia beat Demark 3-2 on penalties to move into the quarter-final, where they will face Russia.

Croatian goalkeeper Daniel Subasic saved penalties from Christian Eriksen, Nicolai Jorgensen and Lasse Schone to help his team go through to the last 8 of the tournament. Josip Pivaric and Milan Badelj missed for Croatia.

Earlier the game ended 1-1 after ninety minutes and extra time with Jorgensen scoring in the second minute for Denmark and Mario Mandzukic for Croatia in the fourth minute. Croatia captain had a chance to win it for his team but his penalty was saved by Kasper Schmeichel.
