After seeing a continuous surge in petrol and diesel prices in the last few months, the people of India can finally heave a sigh of relief.
Wednesday was yet another day, wherein the petrol prices continued their downward trend.
As per the last reports received, the petrol price in Delhi has been reduced by nine paise and is now selling at Rs 81.25 per litre. Mumbai saw a reduction of eight paise and is now at Rs 86.73 per litre.
Even though petrol has been on a positive note, diesel remained constant at Rs 74.85 per litre in Delhi and at Rs 78.46 per litre in Mumbai.
After days of anguish, fuel prices have finally started settling down. On October 4th 2018, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, announced a reduction of Rs 2.50 per litre on both petrol and diesel prices after curbing excise duty on the commodity by Rs 1.50 per litre.
