Sensex extends losses for eighth day in a row, Nifty gives up 10,650

The 30-share benchmark Sensex extending losses for the eighth straight day ending 310.51 points lower at 35,498 on Monday. Nifty 50 dropped 83 points to settle at 10,640.95, logging losses for the seventh session.

The rupee was trending lower at 71.39 to the dollar in late session on Monday. Earlier, the domestic unit weakened by 15 paise to trade at 71.38 against the US dollar in early trade amid heavy foreign fund outflows and subdued domestic equity markets.
