Sooryavanshi: Akshay, Karan Johar unveil the first look
Eid, which is usually a pre-booked favourite date of Salman Khan has now been taken over by Akshay Kumar. Akshay is set to team up with Rohit Shetty for a cop drama titled ‘Sooryavanshi.’

Rohit Shetty, who has earlier directed successful films in the same genre, ‘Singham’ and the recent blockbuster ‘Simmba’ with Ranveer Singh has decided to explore the genre with superstar Akshay Kumar this time. A short sequence was also shown in ‘Simmba’ towards the climax with Akshay coming in as the Anti-Terror Squad chief.
‘Beverly Hills 90210’ and ‘Riverdale’ actor, Luke Perry, passes away at 52
Beverly Hills 90210 and Riverdale actor, Luke Perry, passed away on Monday, at the age of 52, after he suffering a major stroke a week ago.
Perry was taken to hospital on Wednesday in Los Angeles, where he had been shooting scenes for Riverdale at the Warner Bros film lot. His publicist said Perry died surrounded by his family and friends.
“[Perry] was surrounded by his children Jack and Sophie, fiance Wendy Madison Bauer, ex-wife Minnie Sharp, mother Ann Bennett, step-father Steve Bennett, brother Tom Perry, sister Amy Coder, and other close family and friends,” his publicist said.
“The family appreciates the outpouring of support and prayers that have been extended to Luke from around the world, and respectfully request privacy in this time of great mourning. No further details will be released at this time,” he added.
