Deepika Padukone shares first look as acid attack survivor ‘Malti’ in Chhapaak
Deepika Padukone is all set to portray the role of an acid attack survivor in her next film Chhapaak. The film is based on the life of Laxmi Agarwal, who was attacked at the age of 15 and has been campaigning against acid attacks ever since.
Padukone recently took to social media to reveal her first look as an acid attack survivor, the name of her character, and the film’s release date.
Based on acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal’s life, Chhapaak will see Deepika portray the role of an acid attack survivor, Malti. The film’s shooting began on March 25 in Delhi.

‘The Tashkent Files’ trailer explores the mysteries around the demise of Lal Bahadur Shastri
Director Vivek Agnihotri’s new film ‘The Tashkent Files’ revolves around the mysteries surrounding the death of former PM Lal Bahadur Shashtri. The reason for his death and the circumstances behind it are still unknown. The trailer dropped on Monday and the film will release on April 12.
Agnihotri said that “On January 10, 1966, Shastri had signed the Tashkent Agreement and hours later he died. A death mystery unsolved to date. Was it a heart attack or poison? The truth of the biggest coverup has been denied to his family and us,” he told PTI.
