Tricks that can help you get the perfect look during monsoons

Date:

With monsoons on in full swing, one thing that really bothers most people, is the makeup running off your face, every time you step out or when the humidity levels are high. The sticky feeling after putting on makeup can be quite a botheration.

The way we make changes to our eating habits and clothes, the same way we have to make changes to our fashion regime as well.
Here are some ways in which you can have monsoon proof make up this season.

Leave the foundation
Not the season to put heavy foundations on your face. Apply lighter varieties like BB and CC creams. They are lightweight, blend easily and work well during rains.

Use waterproof make-up
Especially for your eyes! The last thing you want is running eye makeup or mascara. Switch to waterproof liners and mascaras, so that they don’t get washed off easily.

Powder based products
Choose powder-based products instead of liquid and cream-based ones, for blushes or eye-shadows.

Use a setting spray
You can also set your make-up with a setting spray. It will help set the make up well and seal it for humidity.

For hair
If your hair is difficult to maintain during monsoon, use a lightweight, silicone-based mousse or gel all over your strands.

Body odour
Rains mean more humidity and hence more perspiration. Use an antibacterial body wash and an antiperspirant.

Moisturizers
The sun isn’t shining and neither should your face
Use a lightweight, mattifying moisturizer like a multitasking SPF-infused matte moisturizer or use a mattifying foundation that reduces shine and gives your skin just the right level of hydration.
