Its hotels, restaurants and catering business, Hyperpure, contributed $6 million to the overall topline, the firm said. Zomato recorded 214 million orders in the first half, which averages out to about 35 million orders a month, and a GMV of $821 million, it said.

Zomato’s average order value is around Rs 270, according to rough estimates, and comes from increasing average monthly transacting users to 11.2 million from 3.6 million, and hiking order frequency to 3.6 times a month.

Zomato, valued at about $3.6 billion, continues to face pressure from larger rivals like Swiggy.
