After meeting PM Modi, Kejriwal told the media: “I told him that whoever is found guilty for Delhi violence should be given strict punishment. Also, we discussed that we have to work together against Coronavirus. At least 47 people have died and around 200 sustained injuries in the violence in North-East Delhi.”

He also praised Delhi Police for acting in a swift manner to control the situation when rumours were spread on Sunday night.

“Delhi Police acted in a swift manner to control the situation when rumours were spread on Sunday night. Had the police acted with the same efficiency on Monday and Tuesday last week when riots were confined in a district, so many lives could have been saved,” he added.

A week after the national capital witnessed riots, the police have filed 369 FIRs and arrested 33 people.
